Our aim is to ensure that better diagnostics are available quickly for patients. We work collaboratively with diagnostics developers to generate a portfolio of evidence that supports the use of their technologies in healthcare. We focus on diagnostics that tackle unmet needs in: ageing and long-term chronic conditions; infection and stratified medicine.
The North East Innovation Lab was created by Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust with the specific aim to support developers of diagnostic tests with the facilities and expertise they need, to speed up development.
