About
With multiple government initiatives aimed at stimulating uptake of innovation by the NHS, and a growing number of stakeholders representing regulators, clinicians, and patients, navigating the medtech landscape in the NHS can seem very difficult.
However, post pandemic things are starting to change. The Government’s new medtech strategy is proof it is starting to take medical technology seriously as a solution to many of the health service’s long standing problems.
There is now a great opportunity for the industry to take advantage of this tide change, as the NHS increasingly turns to medical technology and innovation under the new integrated care system.
Following its latest Ration Watch report on best practice in the NHS, the MTG is working at the forefront of this new landscape. In this talk, Barbara Harpham brings us up to speed with the Government's health innovation initiatives, how the MTG is supporting patients and the industry, and how members can highlight their medical technology innovations to the NHS for the betterment of patient outcomes.
